Fort Pierre Woman To Advocate For Alzheimer’s Research At Upcoming Washington DC Event

FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — A Fort Pierre woman will be in Washington D-C in early April to continue advocating to improve the lives of people impacted by Alzheimer’s disease. Carmen Magee’s husband Fred developed younger-onset Alzheimer’s at 58 years old in 2019. The video “I Thought I Knew What Alzheimer’s Looked Like: Fred and Carmen” will be used to tell Carmen and Fred’s story to members of South Dakota’s congressional delegation during the Alzheimer’s Impact Movement or AIM Advisory Forum. It features cameos from District 24 Representatives Will Mortenson and Mike Weisgram…

The video includes images of the daily notes Carmen creates to help Fred get though his day. The forum in D-C is April 7th to the 9th.
