The Stanley County Buffaloes were one game away from the SoDak 16 this year, and improved from the 22-23 season by 11 total wins and receiving three names to the Big Dakota All-Conference team as senior Broch Zeeb was on the first team while junior Kaden Montana and sophomore Paxton Deal were selected as an honorable mention.
Zeeb was the leading scorer and rebounder for the Buffaloes this year averaging a double-double at 21.3 points per game and grabbing 14.3 rebounds a game. The only senior on this year’s team took on a much bigger leadership role and driving the Buffs to a seven game winning streak to end the season and into the postseason. For Deal, he averaged 11.8 points per game while grabbing 3.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. As a sophomore, he’s made a lot of coaches recognize his strengths and someone who will be tough with the Buffs the next two years. Montana was injured down the stretch of the season, but before the injury he was averaging 15.7 points a game and the leading helper with 5.2 assists a night. Fischer says it’s a big honor to be recognized while not even playing half the year…
