Lyman Faces Undefeated Harding County to Open State B Tournament

The Lyman Raiders will be in Rapid City this week as the seven seed will get an undefeated Harding County today in the first round of the Class B state tournament.

The Raiders powered through the Region 6B tournament as the top seed and then would win the 7-10 matchup over Kadoka in Murdo last week Thursday to reach the state tournament now out at the Summit Arena at the Monument in Rapid. Harding County comes in undefeated at 22-0 with its closest wins coming against Lemmon and Philip, both by 13 points. As good and as balanced the Harding County scoring has been all year, the defense is what makes them tough. The Ranchers are averaging only 27.5 points against per game while scoring 62.8 points a game. The Raiders, though, have four scorers averaging double figures a game led by Mak Scott with 17.3 points a game. Skyler Vollmer is scoring at 16.8, Brooke Palmer at 10.8 and Jordyn Scott at 10 per game to lead the Raiders who are 20-2 with losses to only Wall and Flandreau. The 2-7 contest might be one of the best of the day.

Tip off from the Summit Arena at the Monument in Rapid City is at 7:00 Central Time.
