The Highmore-Harrold Pirates will have the daunting task, but a great opportunity to knock off the powerful White River Tigers tonight in Ft. Pierre in the Class B SoDak 16 contest.
It is the 1-16 matchup which leads the favorite to obviously be the always dangerous and powerful White River Tigers. But, the Pirates will get its opportunity to slay the dragon tonight not far from home. Stanley County is the host site for the contest although the Pirates did not play at Parkview this year. Highmore-Harrold upset the top seed Faulkton Area 46-45 to reach the SoDak 16. The Pirates, at 13-8 face the top seed Tigers who are 20-2. White River’s only two losses are to Class A teams Pine Ridge and Rapid City Christian who have a combined four losses between the two teams. A young Pirates team with only two seniors, Carson Stephenson and Trake Cowan will be looking for the monstrous upset.
Tip off is set for 7:00 at the Parkview Auditorium in Ft. Pierre. Faith and Viborg-Hurley will meet at 5:00 at Parkview in the first game of the night.
