February is one of the slower months of the year for air travel from Pierre. Enplanement are down 62 compared to last year. In 2022, 999 enplanements were recorded with 972 last year. Huizenga says the city would like to see Minneapolis enplanements a little better….
So far in 2024 total enplanements are at one-thousand 881. Of those, one-thousand 710 have been to Denver with 171 to Minneapolis. Since the Minneapolis flights began in late November a total 277 passengers have flown to the Twin Cities. In 2024, Pierre is averaging 855 enplanements per month to Devner and 85-point-five to Minneapolis. The good news for enplanements in Pierre is that in March they generally trend upward. Average March enplanes the last two years are at one-thousand 193.
