The Sioux Falls Flyers would show why they are the top seed in the state with a 7-1 win over the Oahe Capitals on Saturday night at the state semifinals of the girls state tournament in Watertown.
Sioux Falls would take a 2-0 lead at the end of the first period as Rebecca Harris and Rylan Peska would both score before the Flyers would add another two in the second period as Aniston Murray and Peska would score again. Brylee Kafka would get a turnover in front of the Sioux Falls net and score for the Caps to put them within three at 4-1 after two periods, but the Flyers would get three more in the third period as Peska would finish the hat trick and advance to the state championship on Sunday while the Caps will play in the third place game against Mitchell.
