For the second straight year, the Pierre Governor girls basketball team will be at home for the SoDak 16 as they face the Huron Tigers for a spot in the state tournament.
The Governor girls are the state runners-up from last season and are now in the final step from at least getting back to the state tournament facing the Tigers tonight in the 5-12 matchup. Pierre, at 14-6, faces Huron who is 7-13 and face them again since beating them back on February 6, 58-45 in Pierre. Kirk Beebout, head coach of the Governors says, you don’t take a whole lot from the first game between the two teams…
