This afternoon the Oahe Capitals will play its first round game against the Brookings Rangers in the 4-5 contest as the Caps look for a third win this year against the defending state champions.
For the first time ever, girls hockey will be played at the new Watertown Ice Arena after two JV/varsity games were played on both Friday and Saturday last weekend. The Lady Caps will be the third game of the day and look to get into the championship semifinals for the first time in recent history. Oahe beat Brookings both 6-3 at home and 2-1 on the road this season, but Oahe can’t overlook what might be the best and closest matchup of the first round.
