Steele to Step Down as Head Coach, Hockey Director

One of Steve Steele’s philosophies when coaching football and hockey is to make the young men he coaches into better kids, citizens and then one day good husbands and fathers. It’s something he is going to listen to himself. Steele will be stepping down as the varsity head coach and director of hockey at the end of the year. Steele says it’s all family oriented but it doesn’t make the decision any easier…

Steele says he will still be a part of the organization with his kids involved…

There’s a couple of reasons of timing to make the announcement now…

Steele won his 100th game as the Oahe Capitals head coach in Watertown last Saturday in the 4-3 win. Oahe will be the five seed taking on Sioux Falls East in the first round of the state tournament next week Friday.
