FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Stanley County School District has received a donation of two-thousand 485 dollars from American Bank and Trust’s Spirit Card program. Stanley County will use 475-dollars for new e-books; 360-dollars for 3rd grade books; bookcases and file cabinets for the Cheyenne School and 100-dollars for book baskets. There are funds for elementary music with 500-dollars for ukuleles, 400-dollars for counseling needs, 160-dollars for shooting club trophies, 190-dollars for girls wrestling team shirts and 300-dollars for accelerated reader prizes. American Bank and Trust’s Spirit Card program donates money to school districts in locations where A-B and T has branch locations. A percentage of purchases made with a Spirit Card are then donated back to that school. A total of 14 school districts are a part of the program including Stanley County, Pierre, Miller, Corsica-Stickney, De Smet, Howard, Huron, Iroquois, James Valley Christian, Northwestern Area, Watertown, Wessington Springs, Wolsey-Wessington and Worthington, Minnesota.
