Oahe Capitals Will Finish Season with Three Game Weekend Road Trip

This weekend will be the season finale for the Oahe Capitals as they will face Brookings, Watertown and Sioux Falls West all on the road to close out the season.

The Capitals are 1-2 against these three teams, but the one win has come against the three seed in Sioux Falls West. The Caps lost to Brookings 8-3 to Brookings at home back on January 20 as the Rangers are coming into the weekend having the top seed locked up heading into the state tournament.

Then on Saturday, the Capitals will look to avenge its lost to Watertown Lakers, but will have to do so on the road. They will be playing at the new Ice Arena for the first games to ever be played in the new arena with the girls state tournament to be hosted there next weekend.

Sunday, the Caps face the Sioux Falls West Flyers in Sioux Falls a team they beat 4-1 earlier in the season. The win might have been the best game all around the Capitals played all season to this point. A season sweep of the West Flyers will bring a lot of confidence to the Caps if the two teams are to meet in the state tournament in two weeks.

Tonight’s game will begin with a 5:45 puck drop from Brookings while Saturday’s game in Watertown will be at 6:00 and Sunday’s game at 1:45. Saturday’s game will be on Capital City Rock and capitalcityrock.com with video available on YouTube at Watertown Lakers Hockey as Jim Lloyd will have the call.
