Governors will Send 13 to State Next Week

The Pierre Governor wrestling team on its home mat placed 13 of a possible 14 in the top four of each weight class to qualify a near complete team into the state tournament in Sioux Falls starting on Thursday.

The Governors finished with five region champions which included Alex Oedekoven, Tristan Spencer, Lucas Chamberlain, Trey Lewis and Chance Carda. Jaxon Ducheneaux and Elijah Boutchee also made the region championship match for the Governors. The other six heading to the state tournament will be Gable Uhrig, Walker West, Jacob Mason, Lincoln Schoenhard, Max Hunsley and Lucas Colman.

You can see a full list of the results below. Pierre competes at the Class A state championships running Thursday through Saturday in Sioux Falls.
