Capitals Dominate Yankton in Weekend Sweep

The Oahe Capitals would sweep the weekend of the Yankton Bucks winning 8-4 on Sunday ending the weekend with four of a possible six points.

Both Dodson brothers, Dylan and Devin would score twice as Jarron Beck, Aiden Dozark and Barrett Schweitzer. Grayson Hunsley would score the first goal of the game for his first goal of the season to get the Caps off and running again for the second time in two games against Yankton. Devin Dodson scored his 20th and 21st goal of the year to become the second 20 goal scorer this season for Oahe while Beck is only a goal away from joining the feat with him and Schweitzer. Jaxon Jungwirth would get the win making six saves on eight shots through two periods while Spencer Anderson would play the final period in his final home game for the Caps making four saves on six shots. The Caps are now 11-6-1-1 on the season with the win and eliminate Yankton from state tournament contention solidifying the eight teams in Brookings.

The Capitals will finish the season next weekend on the road against Brookings on Friday, Watertown on Saturday and Sioux Falls West on Sunday. Saturday’s game will be on Capital City Rock with Jim Lloyd on the call.
