The Sully Buttes Chargers boys and girls basketball team would knock off the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders on Tuesday as the girls would win 61-24 while the boys would pick up the 72-45 win.
Both the Charger teams needed wins to begin the week as the girls are starting its final week of the regular season improving to 10-9 with the win. One more game against Faulkton Area to try and lock down a top four seed and hosting a first round region tournament game. Sunshine Bible Academy falls to 2-14 on the year and remains in ninth in the 6B standings.
For the boys, they were able to roll to another near 30 point win improving to 7-10 on the season. The Chargers will most likely be on the road to start the region tournament in two weeks, but will still have some tough games down the stretch. Two of the last three opponents are over .500 on the season starting with Faulkton on Thursday.
The Chargers will host the Faulkton Area Trojans on Thursday in the final girls game of the season. Tip off of the girls game will begin around 6:30 with the boys game to follow.
