Stanley County Travels to Mobridge to Face Tigers in Girls, Boys Doubleheader

The Stanley County Buffaloes will be on the road this week as they first take on the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers in a doubleheader tonight in Mobridge.

The Lady Buffs are seeing the number one seed in Region 6A tonight and what will likely be a preview of the first round matchup in the region tournament. Stanley County wants to gain confidence against 14-4 Mobridge-Pollock. Stanley County is 2-16 after its win against Dupree at home on Friday.

It’s a very meaningful game for the 6A standings tonight as the Buffs take on the Tigers as the Tigers are trying to pull away from the Buffaloes who are now in fourth place in the standings. Stanley County is just a seed point back of the Tigers who are 12-6 on the season and a win will pole vault them into third place and close in Mobridge-Pollock for second. It is also a chance to give the confidence to the Buffs who still might have to come back and play the Tigers in the Region Tournament for a spot in the SoDak 16. Stanley County, at 10-7 has two winnable games to close out the season after tonight so a win could make them realistically 3-0 to close out the year.

Tip off of the girls game is scheduled for 6:30 and the boys game to follow in Mobridge tonight.
