The Sully Buttes Chargers would drop both games against the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers on Thursday night as the girls would lose 61-50 and the boys falling 69-54.
The Charger girls fall to 8-9 on the season with the loss and will have to quickly get back on the court on Saturday when they travel to the Warner Classic facing the Lower Brule Lady Sioux. Meanwhile, Mobridge-Pollock improves to 13-4 on the season and stays a top the Region 6A standings. The Tigers led nearly wire to wire with the Chargers only leading 2-0 and Mobridge-Pollock ending the first quarter on a 15-0 run.
In the boys contest, Sully Buttes falls to 6-9 on the season and will also get back on the court quickly with a game at Aberdeen Christian on Saturday in a makeup from the Pheasant Shootout. Mobridge-Pollock improves to 11-5 on the season with the win. Sully Buttes held close after the first quarter trailing 18-13 but then trailed 31-17 at the end of the first half.
The Charger girls will play at 11:30 on Saturday against Lower Brule at the Warner Classic while the boys will be at Aberdeen Christian with a varsity tip time around 3:30 Saturday.
