Candidates across central South Dakota are already filing petitions to appear on the primary ballot. According to the Secretary of State website as of Wednesday, Mike Weisgram and Will Mortenson of Fort Pierre have filed for District 24 state House along with Rebecca Reimer of Chamberlain in District 26-B. On the county level Kim Fanning and Sherri Dittman have filed for Treasurer in Hand and Hyde Counties respectively along with Jeanie Lagan in Potter County and Helen Paxon in Sully County. Anna Maher has filed for Jones County State’s Attorney while Thomas P. Maher has filed for State’s Attorney in Stanley County. Kriby Krogman has filed for States Attorney in Mellette County.
