Local Contractors Acknowledged For Work In Industry And Locally

PIERRE, (KCCR) — Two Fort Pierre area construction contractor companies are making news for good reasons in organizational leadership positions. On the heels of A-G-E president Gary Johnson being named national president of the Beavers heavy engineering construction association; Johnson’s son Andy was recently named 2024 president for the Associated General Contractors of South Dakota Highway-Heavy-Utilities Chapter. The Beavers organization was founded in 1955 and is a national social, honorary organization managed by construction companies and individuals engaged in heavy engineering construction. The Associated General Contractors, H-H-U chapter is a voluntary trade association of more than 250 contractors, suppliers and service firms engaged in heavy construction in South Dakota. Meanwhile, Morris Incorporated won the Associated General Contractors Category II award for their work on the Capitol Lake dredging project. As a result, the Associated General Contractors is donating 500-dollars in Morris’ name to the Boys and Girls Club of the Capital Area.
