Tonight the Pierre and Yankton boys basketball teams will be in Pierre for an ESD contest as the Govs will look to stop a quick two game skid.
The Governors are at 8-6 on the season, but have dropped three of four including both games last weekend to Harrisburg and O’Gorman. Now, after having week off of games since last Saturday, the Govs will play its lone game this weekend against the defending state champion Yankton Bucks who are in a vastly different spot than last year. The Bucks are 2-10 on the season and are clinging to a spot in the SoDak 16. Pierre doesn’t want Yankton to hang around and pick up an upset win with just five games to play after tonight.
