The Pierre Governor girls basketball would pick up its tenth win of the season defeating Yankton 55-29 on Thursday.
The Govs led 26-14 at the end of the first half and continued to add to the lead nearly going up by 30 late in the second half. Pierre improves to 10-5 on the season with only a quarter of the games left to play. Yankton falls to 4-9 on the year with the loss. Pierre was led in scoring by Reese Terwilliger who had 24. Lennix DuPris finished with 10 and Ryann Barry had nine for the Govs.
