The Stanley County Buffaloes want to end January strong with back-to-back doubleheader sweeps as the girls and boys will travel to Todd County tonight.
For the Stanley County Lady Buffaloes, the girls picked up its first win on Saturday and while hosting a playoff game is a not likely, the momentum can be grabbed with several wins down the stretch of the year. Facing Todd County, who is at 4-9 is another winnable game for the Lady Buffs. Todd County dropped its last game to McLaughlin and overall have lost three of the last four.
The Stanley County boys are facing the Falcons who are 3-10 but have an upset win over the Winner Warriors last week. Todd County fell to McLaughlin on Saturday. The Buffs are at 7-7 and in fourth place in the 6A standings but are only 0.243 seed points away from jumping into the second spot in the standings. Wins are becoming more important for the Buffs who have a shot to reach the second spot and host its way to a potential SoDak 16 game.
Tip off of the girls game will begin around 6:00 with the boys game to follow from Todd County.
