The Pierre Governor girls basketball team will face another top five opponent tonight as the Govs host the 7-3 Harrisburg Tigers looking to get back in the win column.
The Govs are 1-2 in the last three games with losses to Brandon Valley and O’Gorman, but get their third straight game at home, this time facing the Tigers. Pierre dropped its Friday contest to the undefeated Lady Knights. Harrisburg comes in having won four of five with the only loss to the Mitchell Kernels, one of the two undefeated teams left in Class AA. Harrisburg sits in fourth place and the Governors in sixth. Pierre won both meetings over Harrisburg last year on the road and in the state semifinals.
