PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is again staring at a single item agenda for it’s regularly scheduled meeting tonight. Last week’s meeting also had a single item on it beyond the far more robust consent calendar. This week’s consent calendar includes approval of the meeting minutes from the January 23rd meeting; setting February 13th for two public hearings at 5:45 pm. They include public hearings for an airport lease for Kroeplin Air L-L-C and for the state Department of Ag and Natural Resources application for the landfill expansion project. Claims, a new firefighter application and a step increase are also on the calendar, which all get approved in a single action. The lone agenda item is considering permission to request for qualifications for a construction manager at-risk for the wastewater final clarifier project. Commissioners will present any dialogue they may have before the meeting ends. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm at the Pierre Municipal Building.
