The Pierre Governor boys basketball team will take to the road this weekend as they travel to the Sioux Falls area to face the Harrisburg Tigers tonight and the O’Gorman Knights on Saturday.
The Govs face one of the best teams in the state tonight as the Tigers come in at 8-2 with only one loss in South Dakota games. While Harrisburg is in second place in the AA standings, they are the only team to beat Mitchell, the number one team in the AA standings.
The O’Gorman Knights are coming in at 6-5 after its loss against the Washington Warriors on Thursday. The Knights have still won four of seven but are now below the Governors in the AA standings. Pierre, in sixth place, has two games against teams with above .500 records this weekend. The games this weekend can be key down the stretch for the Govs heading into the month of February.
