Light Agenda For Pierre City Commission Tonight

PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building, but if you blink you might just miss it. Only a single item is on the agenda with the exception of a five-item consent calendar. The calendar includes the usual claims approval and minutes from the January 16th meeting. The calendar also includes the 2024 salary publication; a raffle request by the Oahe Family Y-M-C-A and setting a public hearing date of February 6th. That public hearing is regarding lease agreements the city has with the South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources for an Air Quality Testing Station and a Bait Station. The lone item of new business on the agenda is to consider a request to abate property taxes filed by Missouri Shores Domestic Violence Center. The Commission will end it’s meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
