PIERRE, (KCCR) — Pierre-based BankWest is announcing additions that will help position the financial institution well into the future. BankWest’s Board of Directors promoted Sherri Kelly as President of BankWest. The promotion was made at BankWest’s January board meeting. In addition to Kelly’s promotion, Chief Operating Officer Bob Burke was named Vice-Chairman of the Board. Charles H. Burke the Third will continue in his role as Chairman and C-E-O. Kelly has 40 years of background in the banking industry with half of that in the BankWest system. Charles Burke says BankWest has been working for several years to focus on the company’s infrastructure and preparing a management succession to ensure BankWest is well positioned for the future. Kelly says she will work with Bob Burke and the entire team to keep services at the forefront and operational foundation strong. BankWest has full-serve banks in Pierre, Kadoka, Kennebec, Winner, Onida, Selby, Gregory, Armour, Tripp, Geddes, Delmont, Mitchell, Colman and Rapid City with 18 insurance agencies and 15 title companies across South Dakota.
