FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday is shifting the Fort Pierre City Council’s normal Monday night meeting to tonight. Council members will hear reports from city officials before getting into the main agenda. Two public hearings are on the agenda. Both are for temporary liquor license requests filed by the C-Y-I Center and Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center. The Council will get a BID Board report and consider authorization to purchase G-P-S equipment and advertise for roof repairs to a water tank. Council members will also consider an amendment to an engineering agreement with Bartlett and West, set a public hearing for events at the Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center and give first reading to a recodification ordinance. Also on the agenda is considering acceptance of a tree planting grant from the South Dakota Department of Ag and Natural Resources.
