The Oahe Lady Capitals couldn’t keep up with the high flying Sioux Falls Flyers on Sunday as the Flyers would route the Caps 6-1.
Sioux Falls would take a 6-0 lead before the Caps would find the back of the net for the only goal of the game as Emily Nemec would get the Caps on the board and keep the Flyers from a shutout. It’s only the second loss of the season for the Lady Capitals and they still sit at 6-2-1. Oahe doesn’t have a lot of wiggle room to be a top two seed though with Sioux Falls only having one loss, but the Aberdeen Cougars dropping a second game falling to Broookings on Sunday. Rylan Peska would record a hat trick as Zoe Gorra would score twice and Ragyn Peska adding a goal with the Flyers improving to 8-1 on the season.
Oahe will return home on Saturday for a huge contest against the Mitchell Marlins who they are currently tied with in points in the standings. Coverage will begin around 1:00 with puck drop at 1:30 on Capital City Rock and on YouTube at Capital City Rock Sports. Jon Winkler will have the call.
