PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting will begin with approval of a three item consent calendar, including minutes from the previous meeting, claims and six raffle requests from the South Dakota Retailer’s Association, PAWS Animal Rescue, Pierre Ducks Unlimited, Historic Pierre Street Association, Pierre Junior Shooters and the Oahe Men’s Golf Association. Commissioners will consider a health insurance consulting agreement, property transfer and a request to purchase a 2024 Gator for Pierre Regional Airport. The Commission will consider approval of a change order on a sewer main lining project, request to surplus a coffee vending machine at the airport and a request to abate property taxes for four locations in Pierre. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
