Pierre School Board To Meet Tonight

PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre School Board is holding its first meeting of the new year tonight. The Board will consider approval of a six-item consent calendar before hearing a monthly report and comments from Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt. Board and public comments will follow along with an update from the Riggs Student Senate. Board members will also make any declarations of any conflicts of interest and will hear an update on the Teammates Mentoring program. First reading will be given to proposed changes to the Riggs High, Georgia Morse Middle and Elementary School handbooks. Much like the Pierre City Commission last week, the Pierre School Board will consider approval of a spring election date and joint election agreement with Hughes County and the City of Pierre. Board members will also consider approval of administrator contracts, an administrative rule waiver, donations, resignations and retirements and will hold an executive session for an evaluation of the Superintendent. The Pierre School Board meets tonight at the District Administration Building at 5:30 pm.
