After a dominating win in a dual on Friday night for the Pierre Governor girls wrestling team, the Governors would place second at the Mid-Dakota Monster of the Bride tournament while the Governor boys would win the Mid-Dakota Monster.

For the Governor girls they would defeat Harrisburg 33-6 on the road on Friday. Then on Saturday Sydney Uhrig and Abbigail Lewis each would win their respective weight class’s tournament while Shaylee Speck, Dani Ringstmeyer and Kezrey Benning would all place third. The Governors would score a total of 151. Canton would win the tournament with a 194.

The Governor boys would win by a single point at the Mid-Dakota Monster scoring a 240.5 while Canton would score a 239.5. The Govs would have four wrestlers in the championship round of their respective tournaments as Tristan Spencer, Lucas Chamberlain and Trey Lewis would all place second, but Chance Carda would come away with and individual championship. Jaxon Ducheneaux would place third and Gable Uhrig would finish fourth in his first Monster tournament.
