Oahe Capitals Travel for Weekend Trip to Sioux Center

The Oahe Capitals are back on the ice starting the new year and bring with them a four game point streak traveling to face the Sioux Center Storm on Saturday and Sunday.

The Capitals are 3-0-1 in the last four games with wins over Brandon Valley and Sioux Falls West in the last two games. Over the past three games, Spencer Anderson and Jaxon Youngwirth have stopped a combined 98 of 101 shots with Anderson stopping 83 of 86 in the 2-2 tie against Sioux Falls East and 4-1 win over Sioux Falls West. The Capitals want to continue to get strong goaltending this weekend to up its point streak to six straight games and winning streak up to four. Sioux Center comes in at 2-5 with its only two wins against Huron. However, Sioux Center was shutout in both games against the Rushmore Thunder which was played back on December 9-10, the last time they played. The Storm will play Mitchell tonight on the road before taking on the Caps back in Iowa on Saturday and Sunday.
