The Pierre Governor wrestling teams will have a busy weekend as the girls will travel for two events and the boys will be at one of the premier tournaments in the state.
The Governor girls will get a standalone dual tonight traveling to Harrisburg to face the Tigers. It’s a rare standalone dual for the girls who are usually paired up with the boys when it comes to duals. After the dual, the Govs will travel to Presho and join the boys team for the Mid-Dakota Monster tournament, one of the best and biggest tournaments in the state.
The Governor boys will be there all weekend with the tournament starting today. Pierre last competed on Thursday, December 14 while the girls haven’t competed since the second weekend of December at the Rapid City tournament.
The boys wrestling tournament begins at 11:00 AM this morning in Lyman while the girls dual will start at 7:00 in Harrisburg.
