After the Sully Buttes girls basketball team would play at home on Tuesday, the Charger boys team will take the court at home on Thursday to face the Highmore-Harrold Pirates.
The Chargers are 2-1 at the turn of the year winning in dramatic fashion over Wolsey-Wessington back on Thursday, December 21 with free throws in the final second. However, the Chargers have now been off for two weeks and face the Highmore-Harrold Pirates who played on Tuesday in a home loss against Stanley County. The Pirates had to battle back from a 20 point deficit and pulled within one, but ultimately fell to the Buffs and are 1-4 on the season. For the Chargers, this is the start of five games in 10 days including four games between Monday and Saturday next week.
