Stanley County Travels to Face Highmore-Harrold in Doubleheader

The Stanley County Buffaloes start 2024 on the road with a doubleheader against Class B Highmore-Harrold Pirates as the girls continue to look for its first win of the season.

The Lady Buffaloes are 0-7 on the year and have been inching closer to the first win of the season, but need something to help them get over the hump and into the win column. The Pirates come in having lost three straight but two of the losses have been to tough Wessington Springs and Faulkton Area.

On the boys side, the Buffaloes can get back to .500 with a win against the Pirates tonight. Stanley County nearly scored 70 points for the second time this season and when the offense flies, they are a dangerous team. Highmore-Harrold beat Iroquois/Lake Preston in the final game of 2023 for the one and only win so far on the season as the Pirates sit at 1-3. Highmore-Harrold teams will see Sully Buttes later on this week.

Tip off of the girls game is scheduled for around 6:30 with the boys game to follow at the Hyde County Auditorium.
