The Oahe Lady Capitals would lead Rushmore 5-0 in the second period and cruise to a 6-3 win over the Thunder Friday night in Rapid City to improve to 6-1-1 on the season.
Brylee Kafka would tally another hat trick, her fifth of the season and now has 19 goals in eight games as she would make it 6-1 on her third goal. Micah Buffalo would add two goals with Cami Larson scoring the first goal of the game and Sophia Peschong would stop 23 saves on 26 shots. Oahe went 1-2 on the power play and killed off both penalties against. Ava Lavinger would finish with two assists while Dakota McEntaffer, Elliot Bertsch, Kierstan Miller and Aubrey Stewart all would record an assist as eight different Capitals would record at least a point. Claire Larson would stop 31 shots on 37 chances for the Rushmore Thunder.
Oahe now has 13 points of a possible 16 so far this season and will be off for two weeks before taking on the Brookings Rangers and Sioux Falls Flyers on the road Saturday and Sunday, January 13-14.
