For the final time in the 2023 calendar year the Stanley County Buffaloes will play as the Buffs host the Herreid/Selby Area in a girls and boys doubleheader.
The Lady Buffaloes are still looking for its first win of the season at now 0-6 and will have to do so against a very talented Wolverine squad who are 2-2 after back-to-back losses to tough Mobridge-Pollock and Aberdeen Roncalli. The Wolverines beat Sully Buttes and Timber Lake to begin the season. Stanley County continues to inch closer to its first win, but have yet to find the win column and want to end 2023 with a victory to lead into 2024.
The Buffalo boys will be looking to improve to 2-3 tonight and will face the winless Wolverines. Herreid/Selby Area is 0-4 after its loss last Tuesday to Timber Lake. All four games and now the fifth game for the Wolverines will be on the road. Herreid/Selby Area won’t play its first home game until January 8. Tonight will be the second home game for the Stanley County boys.
The Lady Buffs will play first at 6:00 and the boys will follow at 7:30 at the Parkview Auditorium in Ft. Pierre.
