Swim Team Competes in Pentathlon out West

The Pierre Swim Team had a stellar performance at the 2023 Pentathlon, held on December 16th, 2023. The Pentathlon is a unique event that challenges swimmers to compete in five different strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and individual medley. The swimmers with the lowest combined times in each age group are awarded high point trophies.

PST had seven swimmers participate in the Pentathlon. In the Girls 8 & under division, Sophie Lukkes placed second in four events and third in one, earning the second place high point trophy. In the Girls 9-10 division, Lydia Kroon dominated the field, winning three events and placing third and fourth in the others, securing the first place high point trophy. Betty Lukkes also had a strong showing, placing third in two events and fourth and fifth in the others, taking home the third place high point trophy.

In the Boys 8 & under division, Lawson Kroon and Lucas Kroon both had impressive swims, placing second and third respectively in all five events. They both received the second and third place high point trophies. In the Boys 9-10 division, Bodie Bramblee showed his versatility, placing second, third, fourth, and fifth in various events, earning the fourth place high point trophy. In the Boys 11-12 division, Ben Murphy competed well, placing fourth and fifth in several events, and receiving the fifth place high point trophy.
