Stanley County Travels to Jones County in Final Doubleheader before Break

The Stanley County Buffaloes will be looking for wins to close out games before the Christmas break as they travel to Jones County to face the Coyotes.

Stanley County girls are still searching for its first win of the season at now 0-5 as they were unable to get a win over the Philip Lady Scotties last Thursday falling 44-40. Tonight they face the 1-3 Lady Coyotes who picked up its first win on Saturday against Bison. Jones County has lost by 20 plus points in each of its three losses. The Lady Buffs finally had more than a day or two between games for the first time this season and will hope the rest will help get in the win column for the first time this year.

On the boys side, the Buffs are now 1-2 and will face the 2-1 Coyotes. Stanley County is familiar with the Harrold Thune Auditorium playing in the Jones County Tournament every year. Stanley County went 1-2 in Murdo last year, but went 0-2 overall against the Coyotes. Jones County won in Ft. Pierre 61-51 and then 51-43 in the first round of the Jones County Tournament. Jones County has beaten both Highmore-Harrold and Bison in the last two games.

The girls are set to tip off first at 5:30 and the boys to follow all at the Harrold Thune Auditorium in Murdo tonight.
