The Oahe Lady Capitals would grab a 6-2 win over the Watertown Lakers on Sunday to split the weekend but sweep Watertown on the year.
Brylee Kafka would have a natural hat trick in the first period as the Caps would lead 3-0 after one. Ava Lavinger would make it 4-0 and Katie Reiss would make it 5-1 for the Caps through two periods. Haley Fuerst would make it a 6-2 lead midway through the third to seal the win for the Lady Caps who are right back on the winning track and now 5-1-1 on the season. Sophia Peschong wouldn’t be busy in net making just 11 saves on 13 shots.
The Lady Capitals will be off until Friday, December 29 when they travel to Rapid City to face the Rushmore Thunder. Puck drop is at 7:00 Central time at the Thunderdome.
