The league leading in points, Oahe Lady Capitals will be at home again this weekend to wrap up games before the Christmas break hosting both Aberdeen and Watertown.
On Saturday, the Caps will take on Aberdeen who was the state runner-up in 2022-23 and are off to a 3-1 start, but did lose to Mitchell last weekend. The Capitals, at 4-0-1, are only behind Sioux Falls in win percentage as the Flyers are 3-0, but currently lead the league in points with nine. A win on Saturday opens the door for the Capitals to control its destiny to being a top two seed at the end of the year.
On Sunday, the Capitals will finish its season series with the Watertown Lakers as they come in at 0-4 this weekend. Oahe beat Watertown 4-2 back on Sunday, November 26 in the second game of the year. The Lakers lack the numbers to be a deep team and Oahe wants to wear down Watertown again for another win.
Puck drop on Saturday is at 5:00 against Aberdeen and then at 3:00 puck drop on Sunday against Watertown, both at the Expo Center in Ft. Pierre.
