For the first time this season, the Pierre Governor wrestling team will be at home for a dual as they take on the Harrisburg Tigers looking to improve to 3-0 on the season.
Tonight is a boys dual only as the Governors and Tigers will meet for the first time since last January when the two had a close scoring dual as the Governors picked up a 31-28 win. Since the 2021-22 season, the Governors are 7-0 against the Harrisburg Tigers. Pierre is already 2-0 on the season, but the Tigers will be in its first dual of the season tonight. Harrisburg lost in the first round of the dual state tournament to the Sturgis Scoopers last year. This is the last contest of the 2023 calendar year and the wrestling team won’t be back to action until the Big Dakota Monster the first weekend of January.
The varsity dual is set to begin at 7:00 tonight from the Riggs High School gym.
