The Sully Buttes Chargers will be at home tonight as the boys will open the season and the girls will look to go to 3-0 as they host the Lyman Raiders.
Sully Buttes girls went 2-0 last week with wins against Ipswich on the road and then a home win last Friday over North Central. The Chargers will face Lyman tonight who will be playing its first game of the season after having the game on Saturday against Potter County postponed. The Raiders have five seniors on this year’s team who return after a 14-8 season in 2022-23 falling the Class B SoDak 16 game.
The boys game will feature both teams starting the season tonight as the Chargers and Raiders will square off in the night cap. Lyman finished 13-8 last year falling in the first round of the 6B tournament by two to Herreid/Selby Area. The Raiders graduate five seniors and return just one senior to this year’s team. On the Sully Buttes side, the Chargers will also have just one senior as Logan Severson returns for the Chargers. Sully Buttes went 6-15 last season and while still a young team, will have plenty of returners from last year.
