Governor Boys Finish Fourth, Girls First in Rapid City Tournament

The Pierre Governor girls would win its first tournament of the season in Rapid City this weekend as the Pierre boys would place fourth behind on Sturgis from South Dakota.

On the boys side, Tristan Spencer and Chance Carda would each win their respective weight classes while Alex Oedekoven and Trey Lewis would both place fourth as the next highest finishers for the Govs.

For the Governor girls, they would have four first place finishers as Sydney Uhrig, Dani Ringstmeyer, Abbi Lewis and Ireland Templeton would all win the championship match of their respective weight classes while Kezrey Benning would place second and Shaylee Speck would finish in third.

You can see a full list of the results for both the boys and girls wrestling below. The Governors will travel to Aberdeen Central on Tuesday for its second dual of the season.
