Stanley County Commission To Meet Tonight

FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Stanley County Commission is holding its final regular meeting of the year tonight. Commissioners will discuss the electrical system at the Four Corners Fire Hall and will meet with acting Emergency Manager Rob Fines. The Commission will meet with Scott Deal to discuss a water cannon for the water truck at the Stanley County Fairgrounds and will get a bridge inspection presentation from Brosz Engineering. Highway Superintendent Lee Smith is on the agenda to discuss Venture Communications request for occupy county highway right-of-ways and the Sheriff’s Office will discuss tracks for a Polaris U-T-V. Commissioners will consider a contract with the Hughes County Jail, Joint Powers Agreement with the Central South Dakota Communications Center and a memorandum of understanding with South Dakota State University. Other agenda items include consideration of a raise, courthouse lighting, holiday hours for Christmas and New Year’s and meeting with the National Center for Public Lands. An executive session for personnel is also on the agenda. The Stanley County Commission meets tonight at five pm at the Stanley County Courthouse.
