Hughes County Commission Set For Meeting Tonight

PIERRE. (KCCR) — The Hughes County Commission is starting it’s December with a meeting tonight. Commissioners will continue discussions on a snow policy for county employees. In new business, the Commission will discuss county employee insurance with Risty Benefits, have an update on the Veterans Service Officer position and will consider the 2024 calendar. Also on the agenda for the Hughes County Commission is volunteers for Pierre Rural Fire, the Snake Butte Antenna and personnel new hires for the Highway Department, Sheriff’s Office, Jail and Emergency Management. The meeting will end with reports from the Auditor, County Manger and Commission Liaisons. The Hughes County Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
