The Pierre Governor gymnastics team would finish in fifth place on Saturday at its home invite as a total of 12 teams would be in Pierre.
Pierre’s team score would be a 130.8, less than two points from fourth and less than five total points from third place. Mitchell would be the team champion on the day with a score of 146.475 edging out Harrisburg who scored a 143.925.
Individually for Pierre, the team would finish with two top ten finishes as KaCee Wilson would finish in eighth place on the uneven bars with a score of 8.2 while Nevaeh Karber would be tied for ninth in the floor exercise with a score of 8.9. Karber would total 33.8 for the All-Around score which would put her into the top ten at seventh place overall.
