Governor Gymnastics Wins Triangular to Begin Season

The Pierre Governor gymnastics team would pick up a team win on Thursday in Huron scoring a 133.3 beating out both Huron and Chamberlain to begin the season.

Nevaeh Karber would win the balance beam category with a score of 9.2 and would help her finish second in the All-Around score with a total of 34.550 behind only Chamberlain’s Amelia Jones who scored a 35.750. Karber would also place third in the floor exercise scoring a 9.05. KaCee Wilson would tie for first in the uneven bars with a score of 8.25 with Jones while also placing third on the balance beam. Wilson would finish fourth in All-Around for the Govs. Kirsten Korber would place fourth in vault, Ryen Sheppick fourth in the uneven bars and balance beam and Madelyn Merril would be fourth on the floor exercise.

You can see a full list of the results below. The Governors will return home and have its first invite of the season on Saturday. The invite begins at 11:00 AM at Riggs High School.
