Pierre Gymnastics Begin Season in Huron

The winter sports season is beginning as the Pierre Gymnastics team is set to compete for the first time tonight with a triangular in Huron.

The Governors will join the Chamberlain Cubs and host Huron Tigers at the Tiger Activity Center for the opening season meet as the Governors return almost everybody from last year’s team. Pierre didn’t graduate any seniors and only have two this season with Neveah Karber and BreAna Lowery. Other returning varsity members include juniors Ryen Sheppick, KaCee Wilson and Kirsten Korber, all juniors. While Rebecca Spitzer, a sophomore will increase her role in the varsity ranks. Rebecca Feller returns as head coach for the Governors and while it’s not an old group, she says its nice to have a veteran group heading into the year…
