Pierre City Commission To Meet Tonight

PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting will begin with approval of a five-item consent calendar. The calendar includes the claims, minutes from the last meeting a part-time new hire in the library and setting two public hearings for airport terminal leases for December 5th. Speaking of public hearings a total of three are on the agenda for 5:45 pm. They include two public hearings for temporary liquor license requests. One is for Escape L-L-C doing business as the Boathouse at the Missouri Avenue Event Center. The second is for Larkspur L-L-C at the Larkspur Landing Event Center. The third public hearing is for a retail on/off sale malt beverage and retail on/off sale wine license for Larkspur Landing Event Center. Two items of new business make up the remainder of the agenda. Commissioners will discuss Resurrection Lutheran Church’s request for a Living Nativity scene on December 17th and the introduction of Tax Increment Financing District number 9 for the Stencil Group property. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
